Hi, I am Pat Caltabiano and I am the Founder and Executive Director of World of Women S.I., Inc. “WOW” was founded in 1995 for the Purpose of advocating on behalf of women and children. Now in its twelfth year, WOW continues to pursue its mission with continued enthusiasm and vision to accomplish its goals. Our members are rich in talent, compassion and commitment. It is their dedication to our mission that allows WOW to be known as the prestige women’s organization on Staten Island.

As you explore our newsletter you will learn the history of WOW and of our many accomplishments on behalf of others. I know that there are thousands of organizations, out there, with specific purposes and goals.  It is my hope that you will decide that there are many reasons why you should become a member of WOW. I urge you to join us as we continue to support our mission of “women helping women” and making a difference for women in our communities.

World of Women has been part of the fight to end violence against women since its inception by supporting other agencies and programs with that mission.

This year we have established our own Violence Against Women Prevention Program to be part of the solution in this epidemic of violence against women in our community. We will be contributing more time, initiatives and funding to this mission.

Our members are enthusiastically waiting to begin our prevention education initiatives to be part of the solution to End the Cycle of Abuse in the Staten Island community we love, and to restore domestic tranquility into the homes of so many Staten Island families affected by this destructive epidemic against women and families. 

We hope you will join us in supporting our program.
